Terms of Service
By creating an account or using WebWatch, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully, especially section 4 on payments and refunds.
1. The service
WebWatch is a website monitoring tool operated by JR Digital. It runs on-demand checks against any public URL (uptime, response and TTFB times, SSL certificates, security headers, and an SEO audit). For registered users it also runs scheduled checks against saved sites, with email and iOS push alerts and optional API access.
2. Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address when registering.
- You are responsible for your password, any API tokens you create, and all activity under your account.
- One account per person. Sharing credentials is not permitted.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Monitor sites you do not own or have permission to monitor.
- Stress-test, attack, or otherwise disrupt third-party services.
- Bypass rate limits, scrape protected content, or evade anti-abuse measures.
- Engage in any unlawful activity.
We may suspend or terminate any account that misuses the service.
4. Plans, payments and refunds
- Free accounts can save up to 10 sites with 5-minute checks, and show ads.
- Premium is a single one-time payment of £5.99 (not a subscription) that unlocks 50 saved sites, 1-minute checks, removes ads, and includes early access to new features.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Refunds. The Premium payment is a one-time charge and is non-refundable. This includes, without limitation, cases where you stop using WebWatch, where features are changed, reduced or removed, or where WebWatch is suspended, discontinued or permanently shut down for any reason, including JR Digital ceasing to trade. We do not provide partial, pro-rata, or goodwill refunds. This does not affect any statutory rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
5. Service availability
- WebWatch is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, alert delivery, or that every outage will be detected.
- Monitoring is performed from a single UK region and reflects access from that vantage point.
- We may add, change, or remove features at any time without notice.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JR Digital is not liable for any loss or damage arising from missed or delayed alerts, monitoring inaccuracies, downtime or discontinuation of WebWatch itself, or any reliance you place on the service. Use is at your own risk. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deletion permanently removes your account, saved sites, and monitoring history, and does not entitle you to a refund of any one-time payment. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Changes
We may update these terms or change the service at any time. Material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
